General Mills, Wellston
The General Mills plant at Wellston, Ohio, at more than 17 acres under roof, provides frozen food products worldwide. Geiger Brothers has participated in nearly every aspect of the plant’s construction and engineering improvements since its first contact with the facility in the mid-1990s.
General Mills has entrusted to Geiger Brothers its sophisticated refrigeration system that provides frozen product storage for millions of dollars of inventory when improvements or expansions are required to engine rooms, condenser yards, vessels, valve stations, freezers and coolers.
Geiger Brothers has installed and continues to maintain utilities, ammonia refrigeration, water distribution and treatment, structural, natural gas metering and piping systems.
The Merillat Industries plant at Jackson is one of 11 company facilities in the United States. Merillat is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of kitchen, bath and home specialty cabinets.
The Jackson facility now totals 280,000 square feet of office, manufacturing, storage and kiln space. Geiger Brothers (as KCI) designed and built the original office and manufacturing plant in 1976, and now has been involved in most every addition and project over more than 30 years. These include its manufacturing, paint room, dry kiln, pre-dryer and high rack storage additions.
General Electric, Logan Glass Plant
Geiger Brothers has a 40-year relationship with General Electric’s Logan Glass Plant and has completed various process installations and upgrades to oxygen, fuel, cooling water and other piping supplying the plant’s glass furnaces. GE-Logan manufactures pressed and blown glass and a variety of tubing products.
